Crinkle Simulator is a free-to-play (F2P) satirical mobile game developed by TNT Games and released to the Google Play Store in 2024. It was removed from the google play store due to the developer's failure to comply with the new Google Play verification guidelines.[1][2] As of it's removal, it had a 5.0 star rating on the Google Play Store. It is 5.1 MB. [3][4]
The description from the old google play page: "THE CRINKLEST ADVENTURE dont stub ur toe 6 levels! lil crink confirmed!"
Overview
[edit]The player takes control of the unnamed main character and plays through 6 levels of a generic platformer. It has basic controls aswell as a special 'crinkle button' that flashes a image of a man stubbing his toe for no reason whatsoever. There is a level selector in the beginning of the game that can be accessed with the pause menu. On the screen, there is also a heart display. The player has 3 hearts and loses one when they fail.
Gameplay
[edit]Upon launching Crinkle Simulator, players are greeted with a brief intro animation that introduces "Grinkle Games" as the developer. This is a fake pseudonym used by TNT Games to distinguish their satirical games from any legitimate titles the creator may produce.
After the intro, players are presented with a level selection screen, offering levels 1 through 6, along with a bizarre visual of two people holding their stubbed toes on floating clouds. Level 0 is also available, though it is a glitchy level that repeatedly kills the player, offering no real gameplay.
Each level allows players to move their character around while managing three hearts displayed in the corner of the screen. If the player touches lava, spikes, or dies, they lose a heart. The controls include directional arrow buttons for movement, an up button for jumping, and a special "explosion" button. When pressed, this button activates the "Crinkle Button," which causes the background to change for no apparent reason, accompanied by a character shouting, "No, Crinkle Button!"
The game also features a pause button, which is self-explanatory, halting gameplay. However, as of update 1.0, there is no way to change levels without closing and reopening the app, a significant flaw that was intended to be addressed in version 2.0. Unfortunately, with the game's removal from the Google Play Store and the unfinished update, this issue will likely remain unresolved.
Trivia
[edit]- The game has built in PC controls, despite it being a mobile game.[5]
- There are many bugs in this game, likely left there on purpose.
- If you type 0 on the level selector, it takes you to a bugged level that wasn't supposed to be there.
