Date Me at My Worst, was a British dating game show which originally aired on July 21 2024. The show was presented by British TikTok star Max Balegde.[1][2][3] The show was the first reality show produced under YouTube star Joe Sugg's production company; Final Straw Productions in partnership with the BBC.[4] The show only released 2 episodes and as of 2025 there has been no update on the shows future.

Format

[edit]

The premise of the show consisted of a group of strangers meeting for the first time on a group date; the contestants would begin by introducing themselves to one another. Max Balegde, the host, would then interrupt the contestants and hand them a card in which the contestants were to choose who they found most attractive based on first impressions; after this Balegde would then reveal a dating "ick" (something off putting or repulsive about a potential partner).[5]

The contestants would then have to attempt to guess which one of the other contestants this "ick" applied to. Once all "icks" had been revealed by Balegde, the contestants would then choose again on which contestant they were most attracted too.

If two of the same contestants chose each other, they would be an official match and they then would be sent on a date together.
