Delhi Civil Defence is a voluntary emergency response organization operating in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. It plays a crucial role in safeguarding life and property during hostile attacks, natural disasters, and other emergencies, working in close coordination with local authorities and government agencies.[1]

Civil Defence in India was established in 1962 under the Ministry of Home Affairs, primarily to protect citizens and property before, during, and after hostile attacks or disasters[2]The organization functions under the Civil Defence Act, 1968, and operates on the principles of mitigation, prevention, preparedness, response, and relief in the face of disasters.[1]
