Drowning in Blood is a Canadian thrash metal band from Montreal, Canada, founded by drummer Noah Muller and singer/lead guitarist Christophe Michaud in 2020. They have released 2 EP records, Crush the Weak in 2021, and You've Won... But at What Cost? in 2024. Current members are Christophe Michaud (Singer/Guitar) Noah Muller (Drums) Nicolas Tremblay (Bass) and Justin Boisvert (Guitar).
Their debut EP, Crush the Weak, was recorded and released in 2021 by Michaud and Muller. Their debut video, Death of Democracy, was published in December 2021, to support the EP's launch. Bassist Mathieu Brunet (Tribal Bones, Atomic Threat) joined the band in 2022, as the band was ramping up to book their first local shows, following the ease of sanitary measures tied to the COVID-19 pandemic in the province of Quebec. The title song, Crush the Weak, was the band's second video and was launched on Youtube in 2022 after the band's first few shows..Brunet made the decision to concentrate on other projects and left the band in 2024, replaced by Tremblay. Justin Boisvert joined Drowning in Blood at the beginning of 2024 as the band was getting ready to record their second EP.

Launched in August 2024, Drowning in Blood's second EP's cover was produced by artist Andrei Bouzikov, who also designed covers for other thrash metal bands like Municipal Waste[2], Nervosa and Toxic Holocaust.[3] The video for the single Liberation, directed by Samuel Surace-Dumont, was launched on Youtube on the same day.
Since their debut, Drowning in Blood has opened for several well-established bands, including Metallica Tribute band Alcoholica, Warsenal, Artillery and Nervosa[4]. In 2025, Drowning in Blood is touring Europe for the first time, participating in a Festival in Dorfen, Germany, and also playing with Belgian band Bomber in Paris, Lille and Charleroi. They ended their tour in Rosenheim with a show with Gérman thrash metal band Battlecreek. Drowning in Blood has also been invited to play at Armstrong Metalfest later in 2025.
