Established as Brandix i3 in 2012, the company rebranded to Fortude in 2017 and operates as a subsidiary of Brandix Lanka Limited, a Sri Lanka-based apparel manufacturer.[1]

After rebranding from Brandix i3 in 2017, the company expanded its service offerings and began serving additional industries beyond apparel, including manufacturing, food & beverage, logistics, and distribution.[1][2]

In 2020, Fortude became the first Sri Lankan company to receive Microsoft's AI for Accessibility grant, supporting the development of an application intended to assist in diagnosing dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) in children.[9]
