Its name was officiated on July 29th of 2020.

Geology

[edit]

Some experts believe that the discoloration of the Homowo Regio points at an ancient subsurface ocean below the area. This is due to the unusually low-abledo material in the area. It is a dark blue color because it contains a significant amount of ice.[3]
