The Interdisciplinary Transformation University Austria (IT:U) is an Austrian academic research and educational institution in Linz. It was founded as a technical university by federal law in July 2022.
The originally intended name Technische Universität Linz (TU Linz) was abandoned after heavy criticism and replaced by the Institute of Digital Sciences Austria (IDSA). At the suggestion of founding president Stefanie Lindstaedt, IT:U received its current name in November 2023. This was confirmed by federal law in 2024.
