Katie Robbins is an American screenwriter and executive producer living in Los Angeles. She is known for producing the drama series “The Affair” and creating limited series “Good American Family”[1] and drama series “Sunny”.[2]

[edit]Robbins serves as the creator and co-showrunner of the 2025 Hulu limited series “Good American Family,” starring Ellen Pompeo and Mark Duplass.[3] She is also the creator and showrunner of the 2024 Apple TV+ drama series “Sunny”.[4] The series is written and executive produced by Robbins, through her shingle Babka Pictures[5] and stars Emmy Award nominee Rashida Jones.[6] Robbins’ previous credits include serving as producer on the award-winning Showtime drama series “The Affair,”[7] writer on Amazon’s “The Last Tycoon,” based on the classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and consulting producer on the Freeform series “Party of Five”.[8]
She previously was a journalist and documentary producer, covering public policy, culture, and food, for outlets including PBS NewsHour, ABC News and The Atlantic.[9]
