Keychron is a company that designs and produces high-end computer peripherals.[1] The headquarter of Keychron is in Hong Kong and warehouses in Shenzhen, China. Founded in 2017 by a group of keyboard enthusiasts, Keychron is specialized in manufacturing full size and compact mechanical keyboards with customizations.[2]
Since its inception, Keychron has launched and fulfilled over 35 mechanical keyboard models to customers in more than 80 countries.[3] Keychron keyboards have been reviewed and promoted by influencers, and the company's revenue exceeded 13 million US dollars up to 2022.[4] The company's product lineup includes both wired and wireless keyboards, catering to various user preferences. Keychron's keyboards are known for their hot-swappable switches, allowing users to customize their typing experience easily.[5]
The company has faced some criticism from users from keyborad communities, such as Reddit. Some users have reported inconsistent quality control, for example dead keys. The customer support is slow in replying emails, and customers may pay $40 out of pocket for shipping a defective product back to Hong Kong.[6]
