Business career

[edit]

World Championship Wrestling (1992)

[edit]

In early 1992, Frey was appointed Executive Vice President of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), succeeding Jim Herd. Despite lacking a background in professional wrestling, Frey implemented several initiatives aimed at enhancing the organisation’s performance and morale. Notably, he introduced "workrate bonuses," which saw monetary benefits being given to wrestlers who delivered exceptional performances, which incentivised higher-quality matches. Frey's tenure was brief, lasting only a few months before he was eventually replaced by Bill Watts in mid-1992.[1]

Entrepreneurial ventures

[edit]

He joined The Heritage Group as Executive Vice President of New Ventures. [2]
