Draft:Luna (roller coaster)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Luna is a roller coaster located at Liseberg, an amusement park in Gothenburg. Luna was built for the expansion of the park named “Luna Park” which was done for the 100-year anniversary of the park and acts as the flagship attraction of it. Whilst its sister attractions “Turbo” and “Tempus” opened in 2022, “Luna” had its opening in 2023, just in time for the opening. The budget for the coaster was 90 million SEK (Swedish Kronor) whilst “Luna Park” had a total budget of 140 million kronor according to TTELA. The coaster is a family boomerang coaster meaning it starts by going backwards out the station, up an incline, to later drop down the incline and through the station. After the station, it navigates a layout, in this case 242 meter long, before going up a vertical spike and traversing the layout backwards. The total ride length for Luna is 484 meter and the height is 33 meters. The ride goes at 68 kilometres an hour according to Liseberg and has an hourly capacity of 720 people.
