Mahesh Shukla is the founder and CEO of PayMe India, a fintech company based in India that focuses on providing digital payment solutions and financial services. In 2023, he received the People's Choice Fintech Award at the ET Achiever Awards.[1][2]

Early Life and Education

Mahesh Shukla was born in a village in India. He completed his early education in his hometown before moving to Allahabad (now Prayagraj) for higher studies. He attended CAV Inter College, Allahabad, for his secondary education and later earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Allahabad.[1]

He pursued a Management Diploma in Business Administration from ICFAI and later obtained an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi. [1]

Career

He began his career in 2006, working with several banks, including Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and Barclays. Throughout his tenure in the banking sector, he gained expertise in areas such as retail banking, risk management, process improvement, digital transformation, and business development. In 2017, Shukla founded PayMe India, a fintech company focused on providing financial services to underserved populations in India. He has been involved in the company's strategic direction and efforts to offer accessible and affordable financial solutions.[2]

Awards

Mahesh Shukla was recognized as the Most Innovative CEO of the Year – Fintech at the 2nd NBFC & FinTech Leadership Awards 2024. In 2023, he received the People's Choice Fintech Award at the ET Achiever Awards.[3]
