Max Nardari (Padua, 26 December 1976).[1] is a screenwriter, director, producer, songwriter, composer.[2]

Life and career

After that, he relocated to Rome, where he earned degrees in screenwriting at the RAI and cinema directing at the University of Cinecittà. Writing and filming music videos for numerous Italian artists, including Raf (singer) (IT:Ouch! (album)), Fabrizio Moro (IT:Eppure pretendevi di essere chiamata amore), Chiara Iezzi, Luisa Corna, and international artists, including Jacynthe Millette-Bilodeau and Lean.

He founded his own studio, Reset Production, in 2003. With this firm, he produced and directed a number of films, including documentaries, short films, music videos, and advertisements for Rai 1, Rai Cinema, and RaiPlay, including Lui e l'altro (2010)[3][4], one of the initial pieces featuring the international celebrity Alessandro Borghi (actor) with Giorgia Würth; in 2012 Lei & L’altra[5][6] with Giancarlo Magalli, Claudia Zanella; Noi e gli altri (2013)[7][8] with Denny Méndez.

In 2015, Nardari helmed his debut feature film, jointly produced by two Italian and two Russian film studios. The movie debuted in Russia in March 2017 with 470 copies available. Paradise Productions released it under the name Liubov Pret-a-Portè [9]. In the cast, Alessandro Borghi, Giancarlo Giannini, Tosca D'Aquino, Nino Frassica, [Larisa Udovichenko] and Olga Pogodina. The Italian edition titled IT:Di tutti i colori (Of all colors) premiered in theaters in July 2019 through Whale Pictures[10][11].

In 2016, Nardari wrote, produced and directed the film comedy IT:La mia famiglia a soqquadro[12][13][14], which premiered in April 2017 in theaters. In the cast [Eleonora Giorgi], Elisabetta Pellini. The global debut took place in July 2016 at the Tokyo Festival, marking the film as the sole Italian entry among the finalists, carrying the international title “The Family Jumble”.[15]. Starting from May 2020, the movie has a global audience on Amazon Prime.[16]. On TV, the movie achieved a 20% average viewership share during its opening night on RSI, Switzerland's leading channel, and was launched on Rai 1 and RaiPlay on September 7, 2021[17]

In 2017, Nardari wrote, produced and directed the movie Uno di Noi[18][19][20], broadcasted as a preview on Rai 1. The film garnered a 10% average share of TV viewers. In the lineup: Euridice Axen.

On September 9th 2020 it premieres the music video Fragile, during the 75ª edition of the International Film Festival of Venezia. The music video, directed with Emiliano Leone is about the planet's environmental matter after the Coronavirus Pandemic. The music video won various international awards including the Cannes Film Festival 2022, The Andromeda Film Festival 2020 in Turkey and the Resistance International Film Festival in Iran.[21][22]

In 2021 Nardari wrote, directed, and produced the comedy Diversamente[23], released on May 18 2021 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. In the cast: Alessandro Borghi, Michela Andreozzi, Claudia Zanella, Giancarlo Magalli, Caterina Misasi, Simone Montedoro, Euridice Axen, Fioretta Mari and Denny Méndez. The movie is awarded the Social Film Festival Artelesia 2021 for the Best Film[24] and the Cilento International Film Festival 2022 as Best Italian Comedy[25]

On September 6th 2022 it premieres the short movie Ritorno al presente, during the 79ª edition of the International Film Festival of Venezia[26]. The short movie won 15 awards around the world, among which The Chicago Comedy Reel 2022 as Best Actress and Best International Short Film and the Premio Leone di Vetro at the International Film Festival of Venezia[27][28]. In the cast: Daniela Poggi, Attilio Fontana and it:Clizia Fornasier. On March 6 th 2023 the short film released on Amazon Prime Video worldwide.

On July 25th 2024 will be released in Italian cinemas iT:Amici per caso[29], it boasts a large cast with Marina Suma[30]

On September 11th 2024 the film IT:Come far litigare mamma e papà[31], freely adapted from IT:La mia famiglia a soqquadro, will be released in theaters, distributed by Warner Bros. Entertainment Italia.
