Mercury EV-Tech Limited is an Indian electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat. Established in 1986, the company specializes in the production of electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and essential EV components such as batteries, chassis, and motor controllers.[1]

History

Mercury EV-Tech began operations in 1986, focusing initially on electronic vehicles and renewable energy products. Over the years, it expanded into electric vehicle manufacturing. In 2025, Mercury EV-Tech commissioned a 3.2 GW lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Vadodara to support its EV lineup and energy storage solutions.[2]

Mercury EV-Tech operates multiple facilities across India:

  • Vadodara, Gujarat: Headquarters, battery manufacturing unit, and R&D center
  • Chhapi, Gujarat: Auto parts manufacturing facility
  • Maihar, Madhya Pradesh: Research and Development center for high-range vehicles

The company also operates Gujarat’s first[3] and India's fourth-largest Cationic Electro Deposition (CED) plant, improving corrosion resistance in EV components.[4]

Two-Wheelers

Three-Wheelers

  • Butterfly EV: Low-speed electric vehicle with a range of 80–110 km per charge and a top speed of 25 km/h.
