This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). He is also known for his contributions to civil engineering education and the arts.[1]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Zharnitskiy was born in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), USSR, into a Jewish family.
He began his education in classical music, studying violin at the Special Music School of the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory under Boris Gutnikov.[2]
After Gutnikov’s death in 1986, he shifted his focus toward economics.
He graduated from the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics (СПбГЭУ), majoring in finance and international economic relations.
He later completed executive education programs through Harvard Business School Online and the University of Oxford.[3]

The transaction was financed by Promsvyazbank, and Zharnitskiy’s share was pledged as collateral.[4]
According to TAdviser and SPARK‑Interfax records, Profitable Investments is owned by Zharnitskiy, with the stake in Baltic Leasing pledged to Promsvyazbank.[5]
The GILK Group website states it was founded in 1996, has executed over 180 leasing deals, and operates in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.[6]
As of 2023, his estimated net worth was reported to be approximately US$310 million.[7]
Philanthropy and Civil Engineering

The fellowship promotes innovation in affordable housing technologies and offers scholarships to students developing new construction methodologies.

Since then, he has funded jazz education programs through private foundations.
He remains a frequent attendee at Montreux and supports emerging jazz musicians.
