Premise

[edit]

In a high-tech Tokyo high school, twelve international students discover they are destined to protect the world as new guardians of the Stellar Matrix — a shattered cosmic weapon of immense power. Led by Miki, Mayotte, and Yu Lu, the group must master their abilities, learn to work together, and protect Earth from supernatural threats.

Production

[edit]

Miraculous: Stellar Force was officially announced by Disney Branded Television in June 2025 as part of its new lineup of animated content.[1] The series is developed by Thomas Astruc, creator of the original Ladybug series, and will be animated in 2D with strong visual and stylistic influences from Japanese anime.[2]

Characters

  • Miki
  • Mayotte
  • Yu Lu

Themes and style

[edit]

Unlike the original CG-animated series, Stellar Force adopts a 2D hand-drawn anime style, emphasizing vibrant action sequences, character-driven storytelling, and mecha-based combat. The series aims to reinvent the anime superhero genre while preserving the heart of the Miraculous franchise.[3]
