Money Everywhere is the debut single by American R&B supergroup RSVP, composed of Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V, and Pleasure P. It was released independently in 2023 following the group’s viral formation after a Verzuz battle in 2022.
Background and release
[edit]The group's formation was inspired by their appearance in the June 23, 2022, Verzuz battle featuring Ray J and Bobby V versus Sammie and Pleasure P. Created by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, the Verzuz series became a staple of digital music culture during the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing together artists from across generations.
Despite the light-hearted and often meme-worthy nature of the event, the synergy between the four artists led them to form RSVP—named after the initials of each member. The idea gained traction on social media and was confirmed by the artists later in 2022.
"Money Everywhere" was written by Erika "Amerika" Sutton, Marcus Cooper (Pleasure P), Sammie Lee Bush Jr., Willie Ray Norwood Jr. (Ray J), Bobby Marcel Wilson (Bobby V), Joy Hamilton, Ronnie Eriic, and Shurhea Mitchell. Production was handled by Kenny Kornegay, Maceo McGriff, and Alexander “Alexzander ATL” Wilson, with Erika "Amerika" Sutton also serving as executive producer.
Media usage
[edit]On January 1, 2025, the song was featured in an episode of the BET+ series All The Queen’s Men, executive produced by Tyler Perry, introducing the track to a broader streaming and television audience.
Live performances
[edit]RSVP began performing the single nationally in 2025 on the annual The Millennium Tour. Their live appearances brought together nostalgic R&B fans with younger listeners, bridging eras of male R&B groups.
