Md Murshed Ali (born 20 March 2005) is a Bangladeshi professional footballer who plays as a forward for Fortis FC in the Bangladesh Premier League and the Bangladesh U-19 national team.

Early life and club career

Murshed Ali was born in Bangladesh in 2005. He began his football career through local academies and joined the professional ranks with Fortis FC ahead of the 2024–25 Bangladesh Premier League season. Known for his agility, close control, and left-footed technique, he quickly gained attention for his performances.

International career

Ali was called up to the Bangladesh U-19 team in 2024. He played a key role in the team's journey to the final of the 2025 SAFF U-19 Championship held in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh, India.[1]

He notably contributed a goal and an assist during the tournament and was praised for his creative play on the wing. The final against India U-19 ended 1–1 in regulation time, with Bangladesh eventually losing 4–3 in a penalty shootout.

Playing style

Murshed Ali is primarily a left-footed winger or forward. His pace, dribbling, and confidence in one-on-one situations have drawn comparisons to Spanish prodigy Lamine Yamal. He has been referred to in local media as the "Bangladeshi Lamine Yamal".
