Draft:Nervion Waterfall

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nervión Waterfall is the tallest waterfall in the Iberian Peninsula, located in the province of Álava, between the municipalities of Cuartango and Amurrio.[1][2] Due to its geological importance, it has been designated as a geological interest site covering the municipalities of Cuartango, Amurrio, and Urcabustaiz.[3]

The waterfall has a height of 220 meters.[1][4]

The waterfall can be accessed from several points in the province of Álava. Visitors can approach the waterfall from the canyon located below, as well as from the Álava municipality of Unchaga. However, the easiest way to access and view the waterfall is from the Nervión Waterfall viewpoint, located in Burgos, within the Monte Santiago Natural Monument, protected by Castilla y León. From there, visitors can reach the viewpoint by car and enjoy the waterfall in all its splendor.[5][6]
