The Order of Saint Matthias is a dynastic order of chivalry established by the Noble Principality of Harragonia, a Roman Catholic ceremonial micronation based in Adelaide, South Australia. It was founded on 27 May 2025 by Harrison Cummings, the sovereign of Harragonia, in honor of Saint Matthias the Apostle, who replaced Judas Iscariot among the Twelve Apostles.
History
[edit]The Order was established. It reflects Harragonia’s commitment to Roman Catholic values, monarchist symbolism, and cultural revivalism.
Structure
[edit]The Order is headed by the Grand Master, a position held ex officio by the reigning Archduke of Harragonia. As of its founding, the Grand Master is Harrison Cummings.
The Order consists of the following grades:

Purpose
[edit]The Order honors individuals who have demonstrated exemplary service to the Principality, to the Catholic faith, or to the ideals of faith and honor espoused by Harragonia. It also functions as a ceremonial and cultural institution promoting virtue, loyalty, and devotion.
Insignia
[edit]The insignia of the Order typically features a cross fleury or other Christian symbol associated with Saint Matthias, often displayed on a red and white ribbon, the national colors of Harragonia.
Motto
[edit]The Order bears the motto: Fide et Honore (Latin: "By Faith and Honor").
