Rafael Zeier (born 25 February 1980 in St. Gallen) is a Swiss Journalist.[1] and YouTuber[2].

Life and Work

From 1999, Rafael Zeier was the first program director and co-founder of the St. Gallen radio station toxic.fm (formerly Herzschlag), where he hosted numerous shows. Concurrently, he wrote for the St. Galler Tagblatt and studied quantitative sociology at the University of Zurich.

After graduating from university, he moved to Radio DRS 1 (now SRF 1) as a specialist editor for money, consumption, and work for the Espresso editorial team[3]. In 2011, he became a page editor and producer for the Tages-Anzeiger's iPad app. In this role, he was responsible for the newspaper's morning and evening tablet editions[4]

Since 2013, he has been an editor for digital and society at Tages-Anzeiger and all daily newspapers of Tamedia, responsible for reporting on smartphones, tech companies, and internet phenomena. Since 2020, he has also been a YouTuber[5]. His channel has over 100,000 subscribers and over 30 million video views (as of April 2025).[6]
