Comment: Two sources were added since the last time the article was declined for notability, but both were about the show, not the actor. In the Anime News Network source, the name "Boom" appears once in a brief sentence mentioning that him and another actor star in the show. This could be used as a source to verify him being in it (though it doesn't say what role he'll play so it wouldn't be very useful for that) but doesn't do a lot to establish that the subject is notable enough for a biographical article. I think it would be helpful to know that notability is not inherited - what this means is that a show being popular or notable does not mean that everyone associated with it is also notable. Boom Raveewit Jirapongkanon
[edit]Raveewit Jirapongkanon (Nickname: Boom, Thai: บูม รวีวิชญ์ จิระพงษ์กานนท์; born 8 August 1991), also known as Jiratpisit Jaravijit, or in Chinese as 苏伦, is a Thai actor represented by Headliner Thailand (a subsidiary of Tencent Thailand). He is best known for his leading roles in Chains of Heart (2023) [1] and Top Form (2025) [2]. He gained recognition in the 2025 BL dramas series Top Form produced by WeTV and Tailai Entertainment [3][4], which was adapted from the Japanese manga Dakaichi by Hashigo Sakurabi. [5] [6] He is currently ASICS Ambassador in Thailand. [7][8][9]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Boom was born into a Thai-Chinese family and is the youngest of three siblings with one older brother and one older sister. In one of his LIVE on Instagram in 2025, he mentioned that he was mix between Chinese father and Thai mother. His family owns a long-established traditional Chinese restaurant. [10] He is fluent in Thai with intermediate level in English and Mandarin. Boom holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok.[11]
Personal Life & Interests
[edit]Boom has spoken publicly about his interests in basketball, badminton and cooking [10]. His favorite foods include spicy spaghetti and tom yum fried rice with fish. He likes cats and dogs, and prefers minimalist colors like black, white and grey.[12]
Career
[edit]2016-2022: Early Supporting Roles
[edit]He began his entertainment career appearing in minor roles and music videos. His early acting credits include: Bad Romance: The Series (2016) as Tanguy, My Dream The Series (2018), The Writers Project: Last Line (2018), My Engineer (2020) and I Need Romance (2021). [12] He appeared in various genres, gradually building his presence in the Thai entertainment industry.
2023: Breakthrough with Chains of Heart
[edit]Boom landed a leading role as Peter Lue in the BL action thriller Chains of Heart on Channel 3 and iQIYI in 2023.[13][14] In coverage by Daily News, Boom commented, "I am proud to be part of this project" and acknowledged the show’s success among fans in Thailand. [15] Earlier interviews in MANGU E-Magazine featured Boom discussing his path into acting and how the role came about via a casting workshop.[16] His performance was highlighted as a key factor in the show’s growing popularity, particularly in scenes portraying jealousy, emotional vulnerability and confrontation. [17]
2025: Wide Recognition in Top Form
[edit]Boom's recognition grew in March 2025 with Top Form, in which he portrayed Akin, a former “Most Huggable Man” whose status is challenged by a rising star.[18] [19] He underwent several rounds of casting before being selected for the role and later stated in interviews that he was honored to portray the character. [20] [21] He played a role in the Top Form series' hot debut and positive reception. [22] His performance showcased emotional depth through key storylines with, including romantic tension, personal loss and reconciliation. [23] Notably, his portrayal in emotionally intense scenes, such as the character’s grief over a family death and the widely discussed “Honey Scene”, was well received and increased the series’ popularity across Asia.[24] [25] Boom’s role in Top Form contributed to the series becoming one of the most-viewed on WeTV in ten countries and generating notable engagement across social media platforms. [26] [27] His performance received broad attention with Top Form trending in Thailand and other countries, and the series finale LIVE stream made waves with fans, further reflecting its popularity.[28] [29]
