Restream is a live video platform that enables you to create videos and multi-stream them to platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, Periscope, and Facebook. It had over 1,000,000 users in 2018 and in 2024 it had 750 million. Founded in 2015 in Vinnytsia, Ukraine,[1] by Alex Khuda and Andrew Surzhynskyiit,[2] has been used to stream the 2017 and 2024 solar eclipses, American Idol in 2020,[3][4] and in 2023 the Lakers on Twitter (now X). Google Earth used it to stream its first live broadcast in 2018 as did LinkedIn Live in 2019. Exploratorium launched a new streaming broadcast centre in 2020. It has been used by Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Paul McCartney, Joe Biden, Elon Musk, and Black Eyed Peas. Micheal Jackson's tribute concert was streamed via the platform. WHO streamed live COVID-19 updates in 2020. Since 2023 it has been in partnership with X.
Restream can sream to over 30 platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn. Twitter, and YouTube.[5] It can also host private wbsites and pages.[6] It raised $50 million in 2020, helping developers to program and stream to multiple platforms.[7][8]
