[edit]In mid-February 2024, Sivakarthikeyan, who had previously collaborated with director Cibi Chakravarthy on Don (2022), was reported to reunite with the director for his 24th film as a lead actor. Marking their second collaboration, production was expected to commence after the completion of Sivakarthikeyan's film Madharasi (2025).[1] The following July, the actor confirmed two upcoming projects following Madharasi: one with Chakaravarthy, and the other titled Parasakthi (2026).[2] The project was funded by Sudhan Sundharam's Passion Studios. Anirudh Ravichander was retained to score the music after Don.[3] Although production was initially scheduled to begin in November,[3] Sivakarthikeyan instead began work on Parasakthi. In February 2025, reports emerged that he had exited the project due to creative differences.[4] Later that month, it was reported that director Cibi Chakravarthy had been replaced by I. Ahmed.[5]
