Sachin Katyal (born 20 June 1979) is an Indian entrepreneur and business professional known for his contributions to the textile manufacturing industry and food services sector in Delhi NCR. He is the founder of restaurant brands “Yo! Chinese Hut” and “Thali Master.”
Early Life and Education Sachin Katyal was born on 20 June 1979 in Raikot, a town in the Ludhiana district of Punjab, India. He began his early schooling in Raikot. In 1990, following his father's transfer to Lalru, his family relocated permanently to Ambala City, Haryana.
Katyal continued his education at S.A. Jain Senior Secondary School, where he chose to pursue commerce after completing 10th grade despite scoring only 47%. Facing pressure from friends and family to shift to the arts stream, he remained determined and was supported by his sister, who encouraged him to follow his interest in commerce.
He completed his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from S.A. Jain College, Ambala, affiliated with Kurukshetra University in 1999. Although his undergraduate education was in Hindi medium, he took on the challenge of pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in English medium. After a motivating conversation with the MBA program director, who reassured him that subject knowledge mattered more than language fluency, he enrolled and successfully completed his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Kurukshetra University with 67% marks in 2001.
Career Sachin Katyal began his professional journey in the textile and garment manufacturing industry, where he held key leadership roles in production, procurement, sales, and operations. Over the span of more than 15 years, he worked with notable companies like Oriental Textile Processing Co., Nahar Group, Wazir Exports, and Polylon Fabrics.
In 2021, he ventured into the food industry by launching his own restaurant chains, Yo! Chinese Hut and Thali Master, in the Delhi NCR region. Under his leadership, the brands gained popularity for offering affordable and quality Indian and Chinese cuisine. He oversees end-to-end operations including procurement, kitchen management, staff training, and customer engagement.
