Samuel Armstead (died October 4, 1908) was a Methodist minister, politician, and restaurateur in Louisiana.[1] He helped establish a church and a school for fellow African Americans.[2]

He was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 1870.[1] He was one of many African American officials at the time.[3]

He lived in Caddo Parish and was a candidate for Secretary of State of Louisiana in 1872.[4]
