Silence Is a Falling Body is a 2017 Argentine documentary film directed by Agustina Comedi. It follows the director as she reviews videotapes that her father Jaime recorded before the accident that took his life, revealing parts of his otherwise hidden sexuality. [1] After winning several festival awards, Nan Goldin selected the film to participate in her screening series at Metrograph in New York City. [2]

Premise

Agustina reconstructs the story of her father Jaime with video tapes that he recorded throughout his life, even from minutes before his own death. From intimate interviews of family and friends, she tells his story while at the same time learning about it herself.
