Space Inventor is a Danish aerospace company founded in 2015 and headquartered in Aalborg. The company specializes in the design and manufacturing of microsatellites, with a focus on modular platforms for a range of space missions.[4]

History

[edit]

The company was established by Karl Kaas, an engineer active in Denmark’s space industry. Since its founding, Space Inventor has focused on the development of small satellite platforms, typically ranging from 10 to 200 kilograms in mass.[5][6]

Activities

[edit]

Space Inventor develops modular satellite platforms intended for applications such as Earth observation, telecommunications, and scientific missions. Its systems are used by a variety of clients, including defense contractors, public institutions, and technology startups.[7][8]

In 2023, the company reportedly delivered its first geostationary satellite, described as one of the smallest operational satellites in that orbit.[9]

In 2024, Space Inventor partnered with Addvalue to develop a maritime Earth Observation (EO) surveillance mission, aiming to enhance tactical EO capabilities.[10]
