Suman Paudel (Nepali: सुमन पौडेल; born in September 21, 1994 ), is a young Nepalese scientist, who is the Founder and CEO of Luna GPS and Research Center Pvt.Ltd.[1] He also worked as a young scientist in NAST.He and his team is currently working on a smart alert system regarding different disaster warnings. Right now, he is working in the earthquake early warning system.

Personal Life

Suman Paudel was born in Pahalmanpur, Kailali in September 21, 1994. His father, Thakur Prasad Paudel did a Hotel Business for more than 35 years. He was very inquisitive from childhood and had that passion to learn new things related to technology. He studied in Shree Padmanikunj English Boarding School upto class one, then he shifted to New West Nepal Children Academy upto class three. Then, he completed his SLC from Shree Kanti Rajya Laxmi, Higher Secondary School[2].

He married to Smriti Kattel in 2023. Smriti Kattel is an Optometrist. He had a strong relation for about 7 years and then he finally got married to her.

He was very curious from childhood and started his technology carrier from Gober Light (Nepali: गोबर बत्ती). He is used to make Tukimara Light[3] (Nepali: टुकिमारा बत्ती). His main consumer was Nepal Communist Party Maowadi (Nepali: माओवादी) since there was a dispute between Nepal Government and Nepal Communist Party in the year 2004. He started solving the local problems of the local community at that time by maintaining T.Vs and Radios. He also tried to build a helicopter, but it failed at that time.

Then he shifted his attention to completing the education, so he went to Bheri Technical School, Nepalgunj[4] (Nepali: भेरी प्राबिधिक शिक्षालय) to complete Diploma in Electrical Engineering. During the timeframe of pursuing the degree, he did many research related to technology and hardware, and gained so much knowledge about technologies. During that time, he found a person called Sagar Thapa Magar[5] whom is collaborated with many teachers supported them regarding their research and they started creating their inventions. Their inventions were also supported by media and covered their inventions as well. Finally, they formed a group called Kaicho Group[6] for innovative works related to technologies. He passed out in 2013 and did his research on KVPS (Kaicho Vehicle Protection System)[7] and successfully built that. The system automatically recognizes the vehicle driver's activity and gives instant alert to the driver. This system is very useful in the context of drivers who fall asleep while driving.

He continued his research and during COVID-19 period, he built a Swap Collection Booth[8]. He also built Smart Reporting System[9] during COVID-19 period, which gave report through SMS to all mobiles of the concerned people. Also, he built a Pothi Hatching Incubator.[10], which produces bird from an egg. Not only this, he also worked on distributing the Sanitary Pad Vending Machines[11] across different schools for larger access of sanitary pads. This startup has also helped many people to get the access of sanitary pads. Later, he completed in education of MBA in FinTech, Swiss School of Management, Switzerland.[12] After so many inventions, he found the actual problem of vehicle accidents, vehicle theft, etc in Nepal. So, he made a system to not only track the vehicles but also show the history of the vehicles up to 2 years. The system Luna GPS[1] does all those works and now is being used by more than 50000 users. This system describes his innovation and the dedication to solve the problems of vehicle theft, vehicle accidents, and more.
