Tektome is a private technology company that develops software for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Founded in 2023 by Naoki Kitamura, the company is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and has a subsidiary in London, United Kingdom.[1] Tektome offers artificial intelligence (AI)–based tools designed to structure project data, facilitate regulatory compliance, and support knowledge reuse within AEC workflows.[2]
History
[edit]Tektome was established as a spin-off from Incubit Inc., a Japanese company involved in early AI technology research and development.[3] In April 2025, Tektome launched a subsidiary in the United Kingdom to expand its presence in the European market.[4]
Products
[edit]Tektome's main product offering is an integrated platform composed of three applications: Knowledge Builder, Knowledge Search, and ReqManager.[5]
- Knowledge Builder facilitates data extraction and structuring from various project documents, such as design drawings, specifications, and meeting records. It is designed to enable information reuse across projects.[5]
- Knowledge Search provides a natural language search interface for retrieving structured project information, enabling users to query across multiple datasets without requiring manual navigation.[5]
- ReqManager supports project compliance workflows by analyzing and categorizing regulatory and client requirements. It applies natural language processing techniques to identify relevant standards and constraints.[5]
Industry Events
[edit]Tektome has participated in industry-focused exhibitions and conferences.
In June 2025, the company presented at the Digital Construction Week in London, an event attended by professionals in digital design and construction.[6]
In the same month, CEO Naoki Kitamura gave a keynote presentation at NXT BLD 2025, where he introduced the company’s concept of "Swarm AI"—a multi-agent approach to AI-assisted design collaboration.[7]
