The Vilhelm Aubert Memorial Lecture (also known as the Aubert Lecture) is an annual event honouring the legacy of Norwegian sociologist Vilhelm Aubert. Aubert lecturers are prominent scholars of social analysis, selected on the basis of their contribution to sociology and social theory. The lecture is followed by a seminar or debate. Both events are organised jointly by the Institute for Social Research and the University of Oslo.
