Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions is an Indian defence manufacturing company engaged in the indigenous development and production of small arms and ammunition. Headquartered in India, the company primarily serves Indian defence forces, law enforcement agencies, and Central Armed Police Forces.[1][2]
History
[edit]Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions was founded by Sahil Luthra and Prikansha Luthra. According to report The company aligns with the Indian government's Make in India initiative and was established to address the growing demand for domestically-produced defence equipment.[3]
In October 2024, Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions announced the establishment of its second manufacturing facility in Amritsar, Punjab. The facility was launched during a Punjab Police press conference and followed the earlier setup of the company's first unit in Jhansi under the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor. The Amritsar facility is focused on the production of arms and ammunition for the defence sector and is intended to support local employment and industrial development in the region.[4]
In January 2025, Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions expanded its team with the appointment of Lt Gen Kamal Jit Singh (PVSM, AVSM & Bar) (Retd) joined as Vice President, and G. R. Aloria, IAS (Retd), former Chief Secretary of Gujarat, was appointed Chief Advisor. The legal advisory team was strengthened with the addition of Circle of Counsels, represented by Karnal Singh (IPS (Retd)), former Director of the Enforcement Directorate, as Senior Legal Advisor, and Adv. Ansh Singh Luthra as Legal Advisor. Sugosha Advisory Pvt Ltd was also engaged as Chief Consultant. The appointments aimed to support the company’s growth and enhance its strategic and regulatory capabilities.[1]
In February 2025, Vijayan Trishul Defence Solutions was allotted a 20-hectare plot in the Jhansi node of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority. The allotment was made for establishing a manufacturing facility for small-caliber weapons and ammunition. This development aligned with broader government efforts to enhance domestic defence production and stimulate regional industrial growth.[5]
