Vought Rising is an upcoming American satirical superhero television series created by Eric Kripke for Amazon Prime Video, serving as a prequel series to The Boys, which is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The series will star Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash as Stormfront, who will both reprise their roles from The Boys, alongside Elizabeth Posey and Will Hochman. It will be the fifth series in The Boys franchise.
Premise
[edit]The series follows a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of Stormfront.[1]

[edit]The series was announced at 2024 San Diego Comic Con.[1]
Casting
[edit]Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash were confirmed to star in the series in their respective roles of Ben / Soldier Boy and Klara Risinger / Stormfront along with the series announcement.[1] In March 2025, Elizabeth Posey and Will Hochman joined the cast in main roles.[2][3]
Filming
[edit]Principal photography is scheduled to begin in August 2025 and run through December of the same year.[4]
Release
[edit]The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.[1]
