Direct Listings draft update

[edit]

Previous versions of this posting were rejected on the grounds that 1) the topic was not important enough, 2) that it was already covered in the Wikipedia entry on direct public offerings, or 3) that it did not have enough independent and in-depth references. In multiple updates, I have added additonal references that focus on direct listings from Nasdaq, the NYSE, and the University of Chicago Law Review. The article now lists the names of large, important companies that have used this method for going public in the U.S. I have also corrected the Wikipedia on direct public offerings, which previously had mistakenly listed several prominent compnaies that used direct listings as having used direct public offerings.
