Eduard Halustovych Halstyan (Ukrainian: Едуард Галустович Галстян; born 1 October 1998) is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Chernihiv in the Ukrainian Second League.[1]

Player career

In 2015, he started his career at SDYuShOR Desna and then moved to Desna-2 Chernihiv, the youth academy and reserve squad of Desna Chernihiv.[2] In 2015 he moved to the youth ranks of FC Chernihiv and then to LKT Chernigiv. In 2016 he moved back to Desna-2 Chernihiv for two seasons before returning to FC Chernihiv's youth ranks, where he won the Chernihiv Oblast Football Championship in 2019.[3] In summer 2020 he moved back again to Desna-2 Chernihiv.

Chernihiv

On 26 August 2022 he signed for FC Chernihiv in the Ukrainian First League.[4] On 10 October, he made his debut against Poltava at the Lokomotyv Stadium in Poltava, replacing Mykola Syrash at the 86th minutes.[5][6][7] On 2 August 2023, he made his debut in the Ukrainian Cup against Livyi Bereh Kyiv at the Yunist Stadium.[8][9] Following the relegation of the club, on 9 August 2024, made his first debut in Ukrainian Second League against Metalist 1925-2 Kharkiv.[10][11][12]

Personal life

In addition to Ukrainian citizenship, Halstyan also holds Armenian citizenship.[13]
