Episcomitra cornicula is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk, in the family Mitridae, the miters or miter snails.[1][2]
Description
[edit]The length of the shell varies between 11 mm and 40 mm.
The shell is short, solid, ventricose and chestnut. The whorls are rounded, the body whorl ventricose in the middle, contracted below, with two or three spiral grooves. The outer lip is flexuous.[3]
Distribution
[edit]This species occurs in the Mediterranean Sea, in the Atlantic Ocean and in tropical seas.
