European Defence Industry Programme

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The European Defence Industry Programme is a creation of the European Union. It is originally a 1.5 billion euro subsidy to the European Defense industry.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] The Europarl committee wanted to increase the budget to 21 billion euro.[8] It passed through European Council under qualified majority.[9] It is part of the ReArm Europe strategy.[10][11] As of early April 2025, it was still under negotiation.[12] It defines joint procurement for the defense industry.[13] It was a problem in December 2024.[14]
