Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb also known as Faiz Taiyeb or Faiz Ahmad is a Bangladeshi author, columnist, technology architect and currently holds the title of Special Assistants to Chief Advisor, Muhammad Yunus, head of the Interim government of Bangladesh.[1][2][3][4] He is currently in charge of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and working as the State Minister.[1][2]

Early life

Taiyeb was born in 1982 in Banduain village, Khila Union, Laksam Upazila of Comilla District. He completed his secondary education at Ideal School and College in 1997, and his higher secondary education at Dhaka College in 1999. In 2005, he earned his bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He completed his MBA at the University of Dhaka in 2007.[5]

Career

Taiyeb has worked in numerous positions and roles. Before starting his work as the special assistant to the Chief Advisor on 5 March 2025,[2] he was in charge of the policy advisor of Co-ordination and Reform of Information and Communication Technology Division.[6] He is an author[7][8][9] and columnist[10][11][12] and has also been working as lead technology architect at VodafoneZiggo in the Netherlands.[5] He has also been active in the blogging community.[13]
