G. Pullaiah College of Engineering and Technology (GPCET)[1]

(  An Autonomous Institute CIV, ECE & EEE NBA Accredited Approved by AICTE and Affiliated to JNTUA)

is a college situated in Pasupula, just outside Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in 2007 by G. Pullaiah. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur. It offers BTech courses in five subjects:

  • Electronics and communication engineering
  • Electrical and electronics engineering
  • Computer science and engineering
  • Mechanical engineering

An Engineering graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Sri G V M Mohan Kumar is a great visionary with courage to take critical initiatives. With a Passion for Teaching, he has been teaching Mathematics for Intermediate students for over a decade. Ever since his Starting of Career, he has been closely involved in guiding the students in achieving the State Ranks in Engineering And Medical Common Entrance Tests. In order to cherish the dreams of Young Students to become the Tomorrow’s Technocrats and prepare the global manpower with moral and ethical values, he envisioned in establishing a Technical Institution named G. Pullaiah College of Engineering and Technology. Since its inception, the institution has been a dream choice of many engineering students of this region. Having a desire to empower the women in the technological global society, he is behind the scene of starting up Ravindra College of Engineering for Women. His Endeavour, to maintain professional excellence, global standards in technical man power by ensuring high quality technical education to all, is applaudable. His uncompromising attitude towards the quality is the key role in establishing state of the art facilities in the campus. He is innovative to the core and spends most of his time with the student community.

Advancement in Technology and Human Resource Development play a vital role in a nation’s real and sustainable growth. Much importance is given to the role of engineers in various applications involving Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical and Software. Globalization indeed offers great opportunities for the engineers to perform well on a larger platform and thus have a great scope of exhibiting their technical skills. The main factor that decides the production of such quality engineers remains in providing good engineering education In order to face these challenges, GPCET offers best engineering programmes in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate across the State. Ever since its inception, GPCET has concentrated on providing industry ready engineers to the society. Today the alumni of GPCET are well placed in reputed organizations all over India and abroad. The faculty and staff of GPCET are well qualified and eager to give quality education to the students. A well maintained campus also adds to the good academic ambience. Apart from the academics, many opportunities in the form of extra-curricular activities are provided for the students to develop further.

  • Anveshana is an innovative Research and Development unit which is exploring the secrets of technology
  • VIRTUOSO" is an English Club headed by Humanities Department.  The English Club is a place for language learners to use English in a casual setting

Library

  • The College has an air conditioned library that houses nearly 24,554 volumes and 2,468 titles of books
  • It is subscribed 100 national and 51 international journals and magazines for students to help their study and research
  • The Central library is having a digital library with 12 computers connected to Internet and students can browse online journals
  • The library is further strengthened by subscribing to e-journals from IEEE. Around 240 journals are accessible online
  • The library is having a membership to DELNET (NEW DELHI) through which Inter library loan facility is provided

Kalanjali: It is a cultural forum who conducting various cultural activities in the campus. These activities are creating competitive sprits among the students. It conducts various competitions in the college like  conducts Singing, Dancing, Rangoli during the year.
