Gunnar Vatnhamar (born 29 March 1995) is a Faroese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Víkingur Reykjavík.[1]
Club career
[edit]In April 2023, Víkingur Reykjavík announced that they had agreed a deal to sign Vatnhamar.[2]
International career
[edit]Vatnhamar made his international debut for the Faroe Islands national football team in a friendly 1–1 tie with Latvia on 22 March 2018, coming on as a substitute in the 88th minute.[3]

Personal life
[edit]Whilst playing in his native Faroe Islands, Vatnhamar worked as a personal trainer while also playing football.[5] His brother Sølvi Vatnhamar also plays football, for Víkingur Gøta and the national team.
