InRento is a Lithuanian crowdfunding platform based in Vilnius, that focuses on buy-to-let financing. The platform enables individual investors to contribute to property financing by pooling their resources to support real estate projects in Lithuania, Poland, and Spain.[1][2][3]

History

[edit]

InRento was founded in 2020 by Gustas Germanavičius, a Lithuanian serial entrepreneur.[4][5] The platform's mission is to offer a transparent and efficient way for individuals to finance in real estate, thereby creating new opportunities for both investors and property developers.[6] Within two years, the company has funded projects worth more than €29m (£24.4m), and has attracted over 16,000 investors globally.[7]

As of January 2024, InRento has more than 2,500 investors and generates an average annual return of more than 11 percent.[8][9]

InRento is regulated by the Bank of Lithuania in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 of the European Parliament and of the Council, which was enacted on 7 October 2020. This regulation pertains to European crowdfunding service providers for business and amends Regulation (EU) 2017/1129 and Directive (EU) 2019/1937.[10]

In 2021, InRento acquired the Estonian real estate platform BitOfProperty, which facilitated its entry into the Spanish market. This acquisition contributed to the company's expansion within the European real estate sector.[11][12] In March 2020, InRento merged with EvoEstate, a European real estate crowdfunding aggregator. This merger aimed to combine the resources and capabilities of both platforms, potentially increasing their market presence and offering a wider array of investment options in the real estate crowdfunding sector. This represents a significant development in InRento's operational strategy as it navigates the competitive landscape of real estate investment.[13][14][15][16][17]

Recognition

[edit]
  • InRento won the Best Investment Technology Award at the 2020 and 2024 European Fintech Awards.[18][19]
  • In 2024, InRento Shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year 2024- Gustas Germanavičius.[20]
