Janikowo [jaɲiˈkɔvɔ] (German: Amsee) is a town located in Inowrocław County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. It has a population of 8136 (2024). Area of 10 km2. It is a first town in Poland that was adopted as a whole to unrestricted movement of disabled people to access all public places and be able to move all over the town with no obstacles. It used to have a well working sugar factory built in 1875 that has been forced to shut down in 2005 due to EU policies. There is a big Sodium Factory established in 1957 (at that time biggest in a whole Europe) which led to creation of an urban settlement that was made in to a town in 1962.
