Josephine Peary Island, also known as the Josephine Peary Ø, is an island in the Arctic located in the Lincoln Sea[1] and falls under Northeast Greenland National Park. It is named after Josephine Diebitsch Peary, the wife of Robert Peary.[2][3] The island has an area of about 17 square kilometers (6.6 square miles) and a coastline of around 37 kilometers (23 miles).[4] The landscape features hills with rounded tops, with an average height of 218 meters (715 feet) above sea level.[5] The highest point on the island is about 455 meters (1,493 feet) above sea level.
