Kevin Ciubotaru (born 2 February 2004) is a footballer who plays as a defender for Liga II club Unirea Ungheni, on loan from Liga I club Hermannstadt.[1] Born in Italy, he has represented Romania at youth level.
Early life
[edit]Ciubotaru was born in Rome, Italy, to Romanian parents and started football with the youth academy of Ciampino.[2]
Club career
[edit]While playing for Rapid Vienna, he was loaned to Austria XIII, Admira Youth and TWL Youth.[3] After five years playing in Austria, Ciubotaru moved to England with his father for educational purposes.[4] He then trialed with English Premier League sides Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Watford.[5] After that, he received an offer from Barnet and played the youth academy of Parma and the Kinetic Foundation before signing for Scottish side Rangers B.[6]
International career
[edit]Ciubotaru has represented Romania at youth level.[7]

[edit]Ciubotaru mainly operates as a left-back.[8]
