History
[edit]The Moccasins were announced on June 5, 2024, during a press conference held at the Monroe Civic Center. The team is owned by Perkin Hockey Group, led by New Orleans–based businessman Nicolas Perkin and Managing Partner Parker Moskal.[2][3] The team named their president and Managing Partner, Parker Moskal, a veteran of over 100 FPHL games. Moskal announced the first signings for the team, forwards Marquis Grant-Mentis and Kyle Stevens.[1][4] They played their first game on October 11, 2024, against the Athens Rock Lobsters, losing 7–2. Brad Reitter scored the first goal in the franchise's history.[5]
