Ramendra Kumar is an Indian author, primarily of fiction for children and for young adults.
Biography
[edit]Kumar was born in Hyderabad,[1] he attended Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.[1] After completing a degree in engineering and an MBA,[1] he moved to Rourkela where he got a job at the Rourkela Steel Plant.[1]
Written works in school curricula and education
[edit]Kumar's work has been included in school curricula and educational programs.[2] One of his stories was included in a textbook for students in the ninth grade in Norway.[3] Another story was adapted as Kamishibai, the traditional form of storytelling in Japan.[3] His stories have also been published in 15 textbooks for schools following CBSE, ICSE, and state boards as well as in the curricula in schools abroad.[2]
