Robin Hood is an upcoming American television series produced by Lionsgate Television for MGM+. It will star Jack Patten and Lauren McQueen in lead roles along with Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Premise
[edit]A Saxon forester’s son, Rob, and the daughter of a Norman lord, Marian, work together to fight for justice and freedom following the Norman invasion of England in the Middle Ages. Rob becomes the leader of a band of rebel outlaws whilst Marian infiltrates Norman court of Power, as they collaborate to thwart royal corruption and attempt to bring peace to England.

Production
[edit]The series received a series order from MGM+ in September 2024, to be written by John Glenn and Jonathan English with both as executive producers, it is produced hy Lionsgate Television.[1] Glenn is showrunner and English is directing the pilot episode and is producing director on the 10-episode season. Todd Lieberman is executive producer for Hidden Pictures.[2]
In January 2025, Australian actor Jack Patten was cast in the lead role of Robin Hood, in his television debut.[3] Sean Bean was confirmed in the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham, with Lauren McQueen as Maid Marian, and cast members Lydia Peckham, Henry Rowley, Steven Waddington, Marcus Fraser and Angus Castle-Doughty, in February 2025.[4][5] The following month, Connie Nielsen joined the cast as Eleanor of Aquitaine.[6]
Filming took place in Serbia in February 2025.[7][5]
