Safrastyan (Armenian: Սաֆրաստյան) (alternatively Safrastian (Armenian: Սաֆրաստեան) in Classical Armenian orthography) is an Armenian patronymic surname from the given name Safraz (Armenian: Սաֆրազ), which is ultimately derived from Persian Sarafrāz (Persian: سرافراز; meaning "head held high", "proud").[1] [2]
