Sarah Guo is an American investor. She is the founder and managing partner at the venture capital firm Conviction and formerly a general partner at Greylock Partners.
Early life and education
[edit]Guo grew up in Wisconsin. Her parents worked for Bell Labs.[1] She attended the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School, earning four degrees.[2]
Career
[edit]After working at Casa Systems and Goldman Sachs, Guo joined Greylock Partners, later becoming a general partner.[1] Guo left Greylock to start a new early-stage venture capital firm, Conviction, which she then launched in October 2022,[3] with a second fund in 2024 with Mike Vernal.[4] Conviction's investments include early investments in Cognition AI[5] Sierra, HeyGen,[6] and Mistral AI.[7]
Guo appears in media outlets as an expert in AI, business software, cybersecurity, the future of work and developer tools.[8][9] [10] [11][12]
