Saral District (Persian: بخش سارال) is in Divandarreh County, Kurdistan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Hezar Kanian.[3]

History

After the 2011 National Census, Hoseynabad-e Shomali Rural District was separated from the district to join Sanandaj County.[4] After the 2016 census, the village of Hezar Kanian was elevated to the status of a city.[5]

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 16,468 in 3,335 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 15,277 people in 3,859 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 9,884 inhabitants in 2,519 households.[2]
